Ureteroscope and Laser Treatment is a minimally invasive procedure wherein a laser is used to break up kidney stones or other urinary tract stones. The Urologist inserts a thin, lighted tube with a camera (ureteroscope) into the urethra and bladder, then into the ureter and kidney. On locating the stone, a laser fiber is used to break it up. The stone fragments are then flushed out or removed with a small basket.
