Pyeloplasty is a surgical procedure that corrects a blockage in the ureteropelvic junction (UPJ), ureteropelvic junction is the area where the ureter and kidney meet.  It can be performed using:

• Open surgery,
• Laparoscopy, or
• Robotic-Assisted Surgery.

The type of procedure used depends on the condition of the patient the surgeon’s preference.
