Minimally Invasive Endourology

Minimally Invasive Endourology is a subspecialisation of urology that is used to treat conditions in the urinary tract and male reproductive organs using minimally invasive surgical techniques. The techniques of minimally invasive endourolgy are:

Endoscopic Surgery: Wherein a flexible tube called an endoscope is used to feed tiny cameras and surgical tools into the body, thereby allowing the surgeon to see inside the body and the surgery can be performed with no incisions.

Minimally Invasive Surgical Approaches: For more complex cases, a surgeon makes small incisions in the abdomen or flank and uses a camera-lens system to guide the surgery.  Minimally invasive endourology are adopted for the treatment of conditions such as: Kidney stones, Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and other disorders that result in the obstruction of the urinary tract.
