Urethral Reconstructive Surgery

Urethral Reconstructive Surgery, also known as Urethroplasty, is a surgical procedure to repair or reconstruct the urethra. This procedure is for the treatment of blockages or narrowing of the urethra, caused by injuries, congenital abnormalities, or urethral stricture disease.  During the procedure location and size of the blockage identified, then repair the urethra by removing the damaged section and reconnecting the healthy ends, or by replacing the tissue with tissue from another part of the body.
